Perfect Cook fetches ingredient and cooking data from the internet on first launch. Make sure your device has an active internet connection, then force-quit the app and reopen it. Once the data is downloaded, the app works offline.
Settings are saved locally on your device. If they reset, it may be due to a low storage condition or a recent reinstall. Check that your device has sufficient free storage. If the problem persists, please contact us and we'll investigate.
Yes — after the first launch. Perfect Cook downloads ingredient and cooking data on its first run and caches it locally. After that, the app works fully offline. An internet connection is only needed to pick up data updates in the background.
Cooking times are general guidelines based on standard equipment at medium-calibrated temperatures. Results vary depending on your stove, oven, grill, or air fryer model, as well as the size and thickness of your ingredient. Use the times as a starting point and adjust based on your setup. Always verify doneness with a thermometer for proteins.
